Managing and Customizing the Manage Enrollments View

Overview

In the Event Management or Employee Training Management, users can track enrollments by opening an Event and selecting Manage Enrollments.

Although the view appears editable, any changes made directly within this screen are not retained. This article explains why and how to correctly apply permanent changes.

Why Changes Do Not Persist

The Manage Enrollments screen is a dynamically generated/updated view that is recreated every time it is opened.

This means:

  • Changes made directly in the view (e.g., adding/removing columns, sorting, filtering) are immediately overwritten

  • Each time you click Manage Enrollments (for the same or a different Event), the view is rebuilt from its template

  • Your previous adjustments will not be preserved

How to Properly Customize the View

To apply permanent changes, you must edit the template view that defines the structure of the dynamically generated view.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Enrollments list

  2. Locate and open the view named: Manage Enrollments by Event

  3. Make your desired changes:

    • Add or remove columns

    • Adjust column order

    • Apply sorting

    • Configure filters

  4. Save the view

Note: This view acts as the template for the Manage Enrollments screen.

Applying Changes

After updating the template view, the changes may not be visible immediately due to caching.

To see your updates:

  • Option 1: Clear your browser cache/session

  • Option 2: Wait up to 24 hours for the updates to take effect

Summary

  • Edit view via Manage Enrollments (inside Event): Changes are overwritten when reopened

  • Edit Manage Enrollments by Event view: Changes are permanent (template-based)

  • Changes not visible immediately: Clear cache or wait up to 24 hours
