This article shows you how to add an enrollment start date to your events and trainings and hide them from your users until registration starts. It is a great feature if you do not want to show events and trainings before registration is allowed or if you are waiting for approval and still want to prepare it on your SharePoint site.
Add the ‘Enrollment Start’ column to the event form
In the All Upcoming Events section, select List Settings in the Settings menu

Select the EVMEvent content type

Scroll down and select Add from existing site or list columns
Select Enrollment Start, Add and OK

By default, the new column will be at the end of the form. It is possible to change the order of the column by clicking on Column order below Add from existing site or list column and decide where the Enrollment Start field should appeared.
Go back to the All Upcoming Events list and you will be able to add an enrollment start when creating an event.

Hide events from users until enrollment starts
Select the All Upcoming Events list in the section For Attendees

Click on Edit current view
And configure the following filter to hide events before the enrollment date starts
