How to obtain and upgrade

The new version is published as the latest setup: sapiens.at.setup.fwp.zip

The download contains one setup for SharePoint 2010 and one for SharePoint 2013.

To upgrade to the new version, run the setup and choose repair after the system check. Now you have to enter a new license key. If you have already purchased a license for the List Filter Web Part and you have valid SW maintenance, you can request a new key. Just send an e-mail to [email protected] and include your current license key. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you don’t have a valid SharePoint List Filter Web Part license, you can get a trial key on the product page.

After the setup is completed, activate the web application feature “sapiens.at.SharePoint.FilterWebPart” in every web application where the filter web part is used. If the feature is not activated, existing List Filter Web Parts will not render and will display the following message instead.

Web Part Error: A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. The type sapiens.at.SharePoint.FilterWebPart.FilterWebPart, sapiens.at.SharePoint.FilterWebPart, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c3e95dd26d020977 could not be found or it is not registered as safe.

The web application feature redirects existing instances of the web part to the new R2 version.

To activate the feature, open the Central Administration, click on Manage web applications, choose the Web Application and click on Manage Features. There you should be able to activate the sapiens.at.SharePoint.FilterWebPart feature.
